Hotels with varied grades are abundant in Dalian, and they can meet many different demands from tourists. The standard rooms of common hotels in busy seasons cost between 150 and 350 yuan, and in the off seasons range from 100 to 200 yuan. There are also low grades hotels and guest houses, which cost between 50 and 150 yuan, suitable for backpackers.

It is fantastically convenient to stay at Heishijiao, Xinggong Street, Wuyi Square, Train Station, Sanba Square, Jiefang Road, and Tiger Beach because of their small area and developed transportation. But for tourists, it is of great convenience to stay at city centers. The business district in Dalian is near train station, and is also named Qingniwa Bridge, nicknamed "Jieli" or "Zhanqian". Places for catering, shopping and entertainment are plentiful, and it is also convenient to take public buses; it is the starting point for all fast rail lines.

Some of the tourist attractions also have hotels or vacation villages, and they can supply accommodations! For example, there’s the famous Gold Coast in Jinshi Beach, Vacation Area in Xianyu Bay and so on. Yet beware, the prices are much higher. In addition, transportation to other scenic spots are inconvenient. Some other places for catering are Happy Farmhouse and Fun Fishing Family, whose prices are quite low.

Tips

Though Dalian is surrounded by sea, there are not many hotels in the city with ocean views. Some only have a view of the shore or parts of the shore. Because of this, tourists must make this clear before making reservations. Otherwise, they will be painfully disappointed.

Do not believe in those who haunt visitors. They supply the bad hotels with high prices; worse still, they force tourists to join touring groups with poor services.
