Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport consolidates its direct routes to Japan, Korea, Russia, and international routes to Europe, America, and Australia via Shanghai Hub-and-Spoke system airport are maturing gradually. Currently, 121 routes are open in Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport.

The distance between Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport and the city center is about 10 kilometers. It takes 10 minutes by taxi. It costs around 1 yuan or 2 to reach an urban area by bus 516, 532, 701, 710 and 9.

Located in Jinzhou Bay, Dalian New Airport is now under construction; it will be used for landing and taking off of the biggest airliner, A380, nicknamed the "Airbus". This new airport began construction in 2008, and it is estimated that the first stage of New Airport will be completed and officially opened between 2013 and 2015.

Railway

Dalian Shahekou Railway Station is located in Huabei Road of Shahekou.

Located in Qingniwa Bridge of city center, Dalian railway station can provide delivery service.

Jinzhou Station is also responsible for some passenger flow. New Jinzhou Station was rebuilt in spring 2008.

Dalian New Railway Station is under construction. According to the plans and designs of the Haerbin-Dalian passenger railway, Dalian New Railway Station, jointly funded by China Ministry of Railways, people’s governments of Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang,will be built 2.8 kilometers away from the North of Nanguanling Station.Adjacent to Shenyang-Dalian Highway,Tuyang Highway, Dalian New Station is 15 kilometers away from city center and development zone,and it is 10 kilometers away from Zhoushuizi International Airport.

In Dalian,stations such as Shahekou Station, Zhoushuizi Station, Nanguanling Station and Yingchengzi Station can provide passenger services. In addition, Ganjingzi Station also sells tickets to passengers.

In Dalian, freight stations include Dalian North Station, Dalian East Station, Ganjingzi Station, Jinzhou Marshalling Station, and Nanguanling Marshalling Station, which are first-class stations. More importantly, Jinyao Station connects Jinzhou and Dayao Bay in Dalian, and Xingang is an important freight route in Dalian.

Marine transportation

Marine transportation in Dalian extends in all directions, and it connects with ports from more than 150 regions and countries. There are flights to Yantai, Weihai, Penglai in Shandong province, Xinggang in Tianjin, and Changhai county every day. Anyway, high speed passenger ships from Dalian to Yantai and Changhai county have been opened, and there are scheduled liners from Dalian to Inchon Korea.

The Dalian passenger station is located in the north tip of the east side of town, and one can reach the town by bus 801, 13, 11 and so on. With such a large area, there are public buses from Waiting Lounge to the dock. Thus, it is necessary to arrive at Waiting Lounge thirty minutes before sailing.
