Organizers have made good preparations for the 16th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, and the fair will be a success, said Su Shulin, Fujian governor and director of the CIFIT organizing committee.
Su praised the early efforts of all departments and highlighted three points to further promote the work ahead.
This year, CIFIT will join China Central Television as the co-host of the International Investment Forum 2012 and hold exhibitions with the Red Dot Award, the world's top design award.
While satisfied with new activities, such as the Merchants Tour of Fujian and the Guided Tour by Mayors from Both Sides of the Straits, Su said he expects even more innovative ideas from the organizing committee.
Su also stressed: "The exhibitions should focus on actual results and attracting more professional businesses and investment agencies to participate.
"Therefore, it is vital to do a better job in liaison, reception and service, which are highly important aspects of facilitating all kinds of programs and fulfilling the task of 'bringing in' and 'going out'," he said.
To do the aforementioned work well, Su gave priority to security guarantees and affirmed the full support of provincial departments for Xiamen, the host city.
He also emphasized a whole process of reception services to provide participants with high-quality services and comprehensive support.
Su said Xiamen is experienced in hosting the fair and he is confident that this year's fair will be a success.
Officials of Xiamen - including Zhang Canmin, director of the program affairs department of the organizing committee of CIFIT and deputy mayor of Xiamen; Lin Changcong, director of the Fujian foreign trade and economic cooperation department; and Sui Jun, director of Fujian Tourism Bureau - vowed to make the event a great attraction to overseas investors.
