The Tai O Heritage Hotel, transformed from the Tai O Police Station, a Grade II historical building, is holding a roving exhibition till Aug 31 to present the charm of Tai O, Hong Kong's most vibrant fishing village. |
The exhibition 'I Love Tai O - Colours of Tai O: A Madame Hung Wai-lan's Memorabilia Collection presents a rare collection of 60 black and white photos, a montage capturing the customs and cultures of the fishing village. |
These photographs were taken by Madame Hung Wai-lan since her teenaged days in the 1950s. They reflect the 77-year-old pioneer folk photographer-historian-opera singer's passion for her hometown, revealing its tranquillity from a woman's perspective. |
