Workers sent by a local government agency wrap the mutilated body of a false killer whale up on a beach in Taitung County yesterday morning. The animal, a member of the dolphin family sometimes mistaken for a killer whale, reportedly died after being stranded there Monday night. Scientists with a whale and dolphin research society suspect local residents cut up the marine mamal and took its meat home as a rare delicacy.
