Retired constable filmed up women's skirts

A retired police constable has been ordered to carry out 80 hours of community service for filming up a woman's skirt. Const. Mansell Wu Kim-man pled guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct. The Kwun Tong court was told that he committed the offence in Mong Kok last May. He was arrested after being spotted by passers-by. Police found similar footage of six other women in his video camera. Acting Principal Magistrate Rickie Chan said Wu's behaviour was repulsive and disrespectful to women. Chan warned Wu that he would be jailed if he repeated the offence.

Water department to test computers

The Water Supplies Department (WSD) will conduct a test of its computer system from 3 am to 12:30 pm on Friday and from 8:30 am to 2 pm on Saturday. All its e-services will be suspended during those periods. Services of the WSD's five Customer Enquiry Centres in Wan Chai, Mong Kok, Sha Tin, Tai Po and Tuen Mun and its Customer Telephone Enquiry Centre will operate normally but they will not be able to give immediate answers to enquiries about individual accounts. Payment services at the Mong Kok Customer Enquiry Centre and all other channels will remain unaffected.

Bolivian man nabbed smuggling drugs

Hong Kong Customs foiled a drug trafficking attempt on Tuesday at the Hong Kong International Airport and arrested a Bolivian man carrying six kilograms of cocaine worth about HK$4.8 million. Customs officers intercepted the passenger arriving from Bolivia via Buenos Aires, Argentina and Johannesburg, South Africa, for inspection at the arrival hall of the airport. A total of five packs of cocaine were found in false compartments in two of his bags.

The 37-year-old Bolivian man, who claimed to be a merchant, will be charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at the Tsuen Wan Magistrates' Courts today.
