Despite the economic downturn, Macao and Hong Kong will host large technology exhibitions next month.
Mobile Asia Congress 2008 will be held at the Cotai Strip CotaiExpo, the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel from Nov 18-20.
Highlights will include mobile broadband, along with high-speed service; mobile financing, such as paying bills on the go; mobile advertising; and gaming and entertainment.
The exhibition will also serve as a forum for companies to exchange ideas on new mobile innovations.
InfoComm Asia 2008 - one of the largest trade shows in Asia for professional audio-visual systems - will be held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from Nov 19-21. It will feature 226 companies from 20 countries, including pavilions for Singapore, Taiwan province and the United States.
According to the organizer, Hong Kong was chosen to host the event because of its central location in the Pan-Asia region and excellent transportation infrastructure.
There are three categories to the trade show: HD Conferencing and Telepresence, Digital Signage and Intelligent Home Solutions.
