　 Shangluo, Shaanxi Province 陕西省商洛市

Shangluo is situated in the southeast part of Shaanxi Province, to the south of Qinling Mountain. It boasts an area of 19,292 square kilometers, accounting for 9.36% of the whole province. Until the end of 2005, it has a population of 2,406,169 including rural population of 2,057,391. There are various natural and cultural tourist resorts here, among which there are more than 1,200 precious cultural relics’ preservation spots. In 2008, Shangluo’s GDP totaled RMB 17.404 billion with per capita GDP of RMB 7,291.

商洛位于陕西省东南部，秦岭南麓，与鄂豫两省交界。全区总面积19292平方公里，占全省总面积的9.36%。辖商州、洛南、丹凤、山阳、商南、镇安、柞水7县(市)，67个乡，92个镇，4个办事处 。至2005年底，全区总人口240.6169万人，其中：农业人口205.7391万人， 非农业人口34.8778万人。商洛文物古迹、自然景观和人文景观丰富多彩，具有开发旅游产业的潜在优势。全区有古遗址古建筑等文物保护点1200多处，其中省以上文保单位20多处。自然资源比较丰富，素有“南北植物荟萃、南北生物物种库”之美誉，以生漆、油桐、核桃、板栗、葡萄、柿子、木耳等林特产品而著称。尤其是核桃、板栗、柿子产量居全省之首，核桃出口量占全国六分之一。2008年全市生产总值174.04 亿元，人均生产总值7291元。
