Hallowed halls - Temple Restaurant

China Daily | Updated: 2012-08-13 15:50

Beijing's most sacred restaurant is offering a summer degustation menu, a series of wine dinners and a delectable new Sunday brunch. Choose five courses (288 yuan) or eight (368 yuan), from a big menu of starters, mains and desserts. If you are having a really decadent Sunday afternoon, add well-chosen wine pairings (five for 160 yuan, eight for 280). The atmosphere is sublime; service is almost devoted but the restaurant housed in a 600-year-old former temple complex is religiously good. - Mike Peters
