"I'm up for anything. Meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl ..." Wood, 23, told the reporter in an interview.
Wood, who plays the Vampire Queen of Louisiana in the HBO series, told the men's magazine that she plays the role of gentleman when out on dates with women.
"Yeah, I'm more kind of like the guy when it comes to girls. I'm the dominant one," Wood said in an interview. "I'm opening the doors, I'm buying dinner. Yeah, I'm romantic."
Wood famously had an on-again, off-again relationship with rock star Marilyn Manson, who is known for wearing heavy makeup and scandalizing audiences with his sexually provocative performances. The two broke off their engagement last year.
But Wood said her attraction to gender bending singers goes way back.
"I grew up in love with David Bowie," Wood said. "So I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls ... I'm into androgyny in general."
Wood recently co-starred in the HBO miniseries "Mildred Pierce" in which she was featured in a nude scene.
The former child actress was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in 2003 movie "Thirteen."
Wood's "True Blood" co-star, Anna Paquin, who is married to actor Stephen Moyer, last year revealed that she is bisexual.
