Zhou Xun launches autism charity campaign

Mainland actress Zhou Xun has teamed up with actor Chen Kun to promote Week of Autistic Children, a charity campaign for those suffering from autism.
The pair contributed a voiceover for a four-episode documentary on autism named Children of the Distant Planet, which will be screened for free in colleges around the country. At the same time there will also be lectures on autism and an exhibition of paintings by autistic children.
Zhou was often in tears at the press conference on March 31 to launch the initiative. She called for people to show more understanding and respect for children, instead of imposing conventional standards on them.
