Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith offered 1m for charity fight

Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith are to be offered $1 million to fight one another.

The actors have both portrayed boxers on the big screen - Mark in 'The Fighter' and Will in 'Ali' - and Damon Feldman, CEO of Hollywood Boxing Federation is hoping they will put their sporting skills to the test for a charity bout next February.

Damon said: "This will be a great opportunity for both stars to fight in the Superbowl of Hollywood boxing and to donate millions to their favourite charities. It would be a great event too. Can you imagine?"

"Both guys have trained with professional boxers. Will Smith played Muhammad Ali in 'Ali' and was phenomenal. Wahlberg is currently playing Mickey Ward in 'The Fighter'."

"Come on, I really think that this would be a huge event and great way for them to donate to their favourite charities."

If Will, 42, and Mark, 39, agree to take part, they will fight three one-minute rounds on February 26 at an as-yet undetermined Las Vegas location, with Damon insisting he is just looking for a fun bout between the two.

He added to RadarOnline.com: "We don't think these two are going to rip each other's heads off. We're just hoping they get into the ring and have a little fun duking it out."

Other celebrities who have fought in the Hollywood Boxing Federation - which was previously known as the Celebrity Boxing Federation - include Michael Lohan and Danny Bonaduce.
