John Corbett considering adoption

John Corbett admits he and Bo Derek are "beyond" having children naturally but could adopt.

The 49-year-old actor - who reprises his role as Aidan Shaw in 'Sex and the City 2' - says he and his 53-year-old partner are now too old to conceive a child but the couple would consider opening their home to a disadvantaged child.

He said: "I think we're beyond having kids.

"Now, adopting kids, that's a whole other thing. That's not out of my realm one day to do. Even though I'm 49, I still feel like I'm 25, like I just arrived in Hollywood. I mean, I'm always hustling to try to get my next job. I'm just not grounded. I'm always off to somewhere for some length of time."

John - who has been dating '10' star Bo since 2002 - says if the couple did ever decide to adopt he would want them to be married because he thinks it's the best environment to raise children.

He told 'Access Hollywood': "I'm not against marriage, but I think it's the right thing to do if you're gonna have a family. If you're gonna have kids, you should ultimately be married. Nothing against people who aren't, but I think it's a good thing to do to give that kid a foundation that feels stable, not just mommy and daddy are boyfriend and girlfriend, but we're beyond that, I think."
