Gary Coleman's Ali injuries

Gary Coleman's widow claims he would have been "like Muhammad Ali" if he'd lived.

The late 'Diff'rent Strokes' actor's wife Shannon Price was warned her spouse - who passed away last Friday (28.05.10) after suffering a brain haemorrhage - would have had injuries similar to the boxing legend, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, had he survived.

She said: "The doctors told us that even if they had done surgery on him, he would have died. He would have bled to death during the surgery. They said that even if they did take a chunk out of his brain, he would not be the same. He would be basically like Muhammad Ali. He would have died sooner or later anyway from that, because it's so traumatic."

The 24-year-old red head claims she has faced a lot of name-calling since she was forced to turn her 42-year-old husband's life support machine off after he fell into a coma following a fall at their home on May 26.

She explained to TMZ.com: "I've had a lot of people say, 'Yeah, she pushed him'. This and that. People are so cruel, they don't even know. I was upstairs, he was downstairs how am I going to push him? That affected me more than anything because of the screwed up things that people come up with. They're heartless. Why would I want to hurt my husband - are you kidding?

"I don't want people being so hard on me, thinking I pulled the plug too early. He wouldn't have made it anyway, his heart just would have given out. I don't want people to sit there thinking I'm a b***h and that I didn't care about him."
