will.i.am bought £15,000 worth of designer clothing in just 30 minutes on Monday (31.05.10).
The 35-year-old Black Eyed Peas star arranged for a private shopping spree at designer Vivienne Westwood's upmarket store in Mayfair, London, and made the most of having the shop to himself.
A source said: "will.i.am turned up out of the blue and his minders arranged with the store manager to close the shop for him.
"He was in a good mood and went wild. He said he loves the cutting-edge fashion in London and thinks Vivienne is incredibly talented."
The thrifty producer - who has been romantically linked to Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole since she split from soccer star husband Ashley Cole in February - even managed to get a hefty discount on his purchases, with staff agreeing to let him pay half price for the items, which included a number of pieces from the women's collection.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "His minders negotiated a discount so he got all the stuff for £7,500. He wandered into the women's section and bought a few dresses and a handbag. He knew exactly what he wanted and couldn't get enough of it."
