Russell Crowe is a "softie" when it comes to his children.
The 'Robin Hood' actor - famed for his fiery temper and bad behaviour - has been tamed since becoming a father to Charlie, six, and three-year-old Tennyson, according to his wife Danielle Spencer.
She said: "I don't think I've tamed Russell, I just think there's a natural progression when you become a parent - you're relaxed and happier. There's a pretty big shift in your focus when you have children. You can't really be selfish any more, and I think that's a good shift. Having children is grounding and very humbling. But I'm the tough one with them, let me put it that way. He's the softie."
Singer Danielle - who married the Hollywood star in 2003 - and Russell have made a pact to go everywhere as a family, even when the actor is filming in foreign countries.
She added in an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Generally we try to stick together so there's usually a period of the year where we might be away for three to four months. When we came over to the UK last summer for the filming of 'Robin Hood' we put Charlie in a lovely school in Surrey. I worried about it being disruptive for him but he was fine."
The family currently live in Australia.
