Vinnie Jones' public brawl

Vinnie Jones reportedly attacked British actor Tamer Hassan on Saturday night (24.04.10).

The 'X-Men: The Last Stand' star allegedly tried to punch his ‘Blood Out’ co-star – a former amateur boxer – in the face after spotting him in the restaurant of the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles, with the incident quickly spiralling out of control.

A witness said: "When Jones saw Hassan in the restaurant he went over to him and said, 'Are we cool?' But when Hassan went to shake his hand, Jones slapped it up in the air. Hassan said they should talk about it outside and then Jones went to punch him.

"There was quite a fight. It started inside and spilled out. It turned into a full-blooded row. Then there were punches thrown and the pair had to be pulled apart.

"Vinnie was in a pretty bad way afterwards. He took a beating to the face and he looked like he needed stitches. There was blood everywhere."

Although the reason for the row has not been made clear, it is believed to have stemmed from an earlier incident on New Year’s Eve (31.12.09) when Vinnie asked Tamer and his wife to leave his house party for no apparent reason.

However, Tamer’s lawyer insists it was an “unprovoked attack”.

Tamer's lawyer Eddie Parladorio said: "My client informs me that he was subjected to an unprovoked attack late last night by Vinnie Jones. He regrets being put in the position of having to defend himself, but defend himself he did."

Vinnie has since played down the incident, claiming it was "a scuffle".

He told The Sun newspaper: "Me and Tamer had words and a bit of a scuffle like a lot of blokes do on a weekend after a drink and a curry. We're making a movie together next week. It'll all be forgotten about by then."
