Bored actor Danny Dyer

'Football Factory' star Danny Dyer admits he is getting bored of acting and is ready for a new challenge.

Danny Dyer is bored of acting.

The 'Football Factory' star is delighted with his career successes so far but is worried he is losing interest in his profession and is ready for a new challenge.

He said: "Don't get me wrong. I've had a great year and done movie after movie, and a play in between. But I've started to get bored with acting. I need to get the hunger back. I need something different."

Despite his fears, Danny enjoyed his latest role as Whitey in 'Malice in Wonderland' - a reimagining of Lewis Carroll's classic tale 'Alice In Wonderland' - because he finally got to take on a romantic part.

He explained: "That's why I took it on. It was an arty film, and the most different to anything I'd done before. And it's something I want to do — romantic leads."

The 32-year-old actor's forthcoming roles are also radically different from the London hard men he has previously played.

One part is in the western 'Guns of the Dead', which he will shoot in Utah, USA, later this year, and is already fearing a backlash.

He said: "It's my first chance to do an American role. I know people are going to be picking my accent to shreds, so I've got to work on it."
