Ashton Kutcher terrified by plane scare

Ashton Kutcher is "happy to be alive" after his plane made an emergency landing.

The 'Spread' actor and his wife Demi Moore were terrified after their private jet's engine overheated, causing it to make an unscheduled stop in Las Vegas on Thursday (06.08.09).

Shortly after the landing, Ashton wrote on his Twitter page: "My plane just had to do an emergency landing. Engine over heated. Fire engines everywhere good times. happy to be alive. (sic)"

Demi also took to the social networking site after the event, writing: "Yep it is always an adventure in Vegas emergency landing and all (sic)."

Ashton and Demi were on their way to New York following the premiere of 'Spread' - a comedy about a womaniser and his unhappy lover - in Las Vegas.

Later, Ashton again wrote about the incident on Twitter, telling fans he was willing to treat them to a night out because he was so happy to have escaped with his life.

He wrote: "lets celebrate. party tonight at Turtle Bay Bar in NYC. Say 'Spread' at the door for 1/2 off drinks! on me! (sic)"
