Reeling in the years

A screening featuring South Korean actor Ahn Sung-kee's films will start on Saturday, lasting three days, at the Beijing-based China Film Archive.

Four of Ahn's films will be screened, including Radio Star, My Best Partner, Arahan and Musa the Warrior, the last one also starring Zhang Ziyi.

Ahn (in Battle of Wits) will attend the opening ceremony at the China Film Archive on Saturday evening and talk with his fans.

Born in 1952, in Daegu, South Korea, Ahn is one of South Korea's most beloved actors and a multiple award-winner. He won the best actor Blue Dragon Award, known as South Korean's academy awards, for his performance in The South Korean Army. He was honored again as the best actor in 1993 Asian-Pacific Film Festival for White Badge.

In 2006 Ahn cooperated with Hong Kong director Jacob Cheung to star in Battle of Wits (Mo Gong), co-starring Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau.
