Chen Chusheng (pictured), a talent show champion who hit the headlines in 2008 because of a legal dispute with his company, returns to the entertainment world by joining the cast of Sing for Love (Wei Ai Gao Ge), a reality show from Anhui TV.
Chen is among a number of stars supporting the show, starting today, in which celebrities help those in need fulfill their dreams.
The 28-year-old singer told a press conference on Tuesday that the lawsuit was ongoing. He denied a rumor that he had reconciled with E.E Media privately.
The suit did not bother him, he claimed. He said that he has more time to focus on music. His album, he said, will hopefully be released this year.
Chen confirmed that many companies, including the powerful Huayi Brothers, opened their doors to him, but he has made no decision so far on his future.
Chen broke up with E.E Media in 2007 by walking out of a live show and went missing for 15 days. He filed a suit to terminate his contract one month later, claiming the company had failed to keep promises to him and arranged too many commercial performances during the post-production of his album.
