Josh Hartnett feeling 'fine'

Josh Hartnett has blamed his recent hospitalisation on drinking dirty water.

The '30 Days of Night' actor sparked widespread concern when he was rushed to the emergency room with crippling stomach pains last month, but insists reports of his illness were overblown.

Josh said: "I'm fine. I just had a little stomach bug. There's nothing to worry about. It's been reoccurring because I have been spending a lot of time in Third World countries, and I occasionally drank the water when I shouldn't have - and sometimes it catches up with you."

The 30-year-old actor added he was given fluids in hospital and immediately started feeling better.

He explained to America's People magazine: "I went to the hospital and it was literally just a 24-hour thing. I was so dehydrated that I needed to be on a couple of IVs, but I'm good."

Josh was staying at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont hotel when he fell ill on March 30. An ambulance was called, and the actor was taken to the city's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Despite initial claims he was seriously ill, Josh was seen partying at the hotel with a group of friends several days later.
