Drew Barrymore makes her friends cook for her because she is such a bad chef.

The 'He's Just Not That Into You' actress admits she is clueless in the kitchen and so asks her pals to prepare food for her whenever they visit.

Asked how she coped when people come to dinner, Drew is quoted as saying: "I don't cook, I can't cook, and it is really abominable to see me in the kitchen. I order in takeaway food or get my friends to cook because a lot of them are very good."

The 33-year-old actress claims her culinary skills are so poor she can't even make toast.

She explained: "My culinary skills are terrible. I can't even make toast taste good. I do make scrambled eggs for myself sometimes but I wouldn't even inflict that on anyone else."

Drew is not the only star to admit to being a poor chef.

Christina Ricci recently admitted her hectic work schedule has prevented her learning how to make dinner.

She said: "I can cook about two things. I can boil hot water for the only pasta I can make. I blame my career, actors work crazy schedules and we are away so often. I just don't the time to learn how to make stuff. But I need to, when you get back home after shooting there is always a great desire to create some kind of normalcy."
