Mariah Carey

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is set to appear on the hit TV show 'American Idol' as a judge.

Carey will join Bono, Brad Pitt and a few others on the 'Idol Gives Back' episode on April 9 and will return as a mentor, guest judge and performer, pagesix.com reports.

The show's reps said there are quite a few mentors this year but no names were confirmed.
