Kanye West holds on to top spot in British singles charts(AFP)
Updated: 2007-08-27 09:18 LONDON - American rapper Kanye West held on to the top spot in the British singles charts released Sunday for a second week, holding off debutant Sean Kingston. West's single "Stronger", featuring Daft Punk, beat "Beautiful Girls" by the 17-year-old Kingston, into second place. Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn's collaboration with Kleerup, the former number one "With Every Heartbeat", fell one to three. "The Way I Are" by Timbaland -- another former number one -- fell one spot to four, while "Clothes Off" by Gym Class Heroes rose from number eight to round out the top five. In the album charts, Newton Faulkner's "Hand Built By Robots" rose from number three to top the rankings, relegating Elvis Presley's "The King" to number two. "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse was at three. |
