Legendary actor Kirk Douglas has asked his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Catherine Zeta Jones, to write their autobiographies, because he feels that this will give them a perspective on their lives.

The ¡®Spartacus¡¯ star strongly believes that autobiographies are not always written for publication, but also because they give their writers an overview of their own lives by making them think about themselves.

"I said to my son Michael and Catherine, 'Write your autobiography! It may or may not be published, but when you write it you think about yourself from a different perspective. And from here you get a chance to know where you came from, where you are, and where you are going,'" Tittle Tattle quoted him as saying.

The 91-year-old actor has already written his three autobiographies, and has just released the fourth one titled 'Let's Face It: 90 Years Of Living, Loving, And Learning'.
