Federline defends Teen Choice performance (irishexaminer) Updated: 2006-08-25 17:14 Aspiring rapper Kevin Federline insists he is "happy" with his debut
live performance at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, despite a barrage of
criticism from the hip-hop community.
Britney Spears' husband closed the star-studded ceremony by rapping his debut
track Lose Control after an introduction by his heavily pregnant wife.
After watching his performance, rapper Sean Paul said: "I was expecting more
dancing from the dude, you know."
XXL magazine editor-in-chief Elliot Wilson added: "I think we ignore him.
He's a joke, basically. I just don't think he gets it."
However, Federline insists: "I'm happy. I think I pulled it off pretty well.
(But) I'm overly critical of myself. We went straight from there and jumped in
the Ferrari and took off. (Britney) was happy, she was proud. My whole family
and everybody was there."
