Harry Potter author JK Rowling is keeping the outcome of the final book in
the series secret, but has teased fans by revealing the last ever word she'll
write.
Rumours have been circulating over the fate of the main character Harry
played in the box office hit movie by teen actor Daniel Radcliffe.
But Rowling will only reveal "scar" will be the final word in the seventh and
final Harry Potter novel - she's keeping the title and release date a firm
secret.
Earlier at a news conference with Rowling, King and Irving were asked if they
had advice about the fate of Potter. Rowling interjected in a stage whisper,
"Kill him." Irving said, "I have my fingers crossed for Harry."
Two of America's top authors, John Irving and Stephen King, made a plea to
J.K. Rowling on Tuesday not to kill the fictional boy wizard Harry Potter in the
final book of the series, but Rowling made no promises.
King said, "I just want the story to be fair. I love
that series. I have total confidence in her." He added, "I just don't want him
to go over Reichenbach Falls," the way Sherlock Holmes met his fate.
