Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn
Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have split, just two months after the
release of their romantic comedy, The Break-Up.
The Hollywood golden girl is reported to have called off her engagement to
Vaughn after speculation the pair was heading for separation.
Aniston and Vaughn arrived separately to the Sydney premiere of the film.
The actress is reportedly single again and is calling on best friends
Courteney Cox Arquette, Sheryl Crow and volleyball star Gabrielle Reece to help
her cope with another broken romance.
Reports of the split come amid a series of magazine articles which said
Aniston was not yet over her ex, Brad Pitt.
American NW magazine reported Aniston initiated the split because she did not
believe Vaughn was the "marrying kind".
But Hollywood sources claimed Vaughn's mother told him he
would be in for "a world of heartbreak" if he married Aniston because she had
"not found closure" with her ex-husband.
Aniston staged a girls-only get together at Cox Arquette's Malibu home July
24 and has been referring to herself as ''the new Jen'' ever since.
Aniston and Vaughn -- who starred together in this year's anti-relationship
comedy The Break-Up -- never officially announced their engagement, but tabloids
were rife with wedding plans.
Pitt walked out on Aniston after falling in love with Hollywood temptress
Angelina Jolie, who recently gave birth to their daughter, Shiloh, in Namibia,
Africa.
US media had claimed Aniston wanted the role for herself.
