Halle Berry is pregnant, it has been claimed.

The 'X-Men' actress sparked pregnancy rumours after showing off a noticeable bump under a figure hugging summer dress as she checked on the construction of her new Beverly Hills home.

The 39-year-old actress is currently dating 30-year-old Canadian model Gabriel Aubrey, who she met on a fashion shoot for Versace last year.

Halle has previously admitted she is desperate to have a baby by the time she turns 40 - which is next month.

She told US talk show host Oprah Winfrey: "If there's no serious man in my life, whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby?'"

Halle, who has been through two divorces, even said she would resort to artificial insemination if she couldn't find a man.

She added: "I have could head for the sperm bank. I've been so desperately unlucky in love and that has thwarted my desire for motherhood. It's so frustrating."
