Shyamalan says he wants to shoot the final episode of Harry Potter, promising
his version will be dark and twisted.
The horror director says he sees great potential for conflict in the film,
including the loss and betrayal of Harry's best friend Ron Weasley, who joins
the forces of evil.
He hopes it will help the audience see that power is a double-edged sword.
Although the final Harry Potter book is still being written, author J.K.
Rowling has revealed two of the leading characters will die.
Film critic Jason Solomons says it is very possible Shyamalan will have the
opportunity to shoot the film. Warner Brothers considers the director to be an
important partner because their last collaboration was a box office hit.
