Lachey and Simpson

Nick Lachey insists he is doing "fine" since his divorce from Jessica Simpson was finalised.

The singer - whose legal separation from the Dukes of Hazard actress was finalised last week - insists he is over Jessica and ready to move on.

He told America's Today show: "I'm doing well. It's a process we all go through. This week was the final step in that process. For me, personally, it is time to move on."

Nick and Jessica filed for divorce last December, just three years after tying the knot.

Papers filed Friday in Superior Court in Los Angeles show the pop stars "are restored to the status of single, unmarried persons."
