The experimental drama “Mirror Moon Water”, directed by Jinghui Meng, will premiere from May 18th to the 28th at the East Pioneer Theatre in Beijing. The drama is based on the poems "Mirror Moon Water" and "Near and Far" by the famous contemporary Chinese poet Xichuan.
"Hai’s Girl” Jiani Shen has been selected to be the lead actress. Other performers are Hongwei Zhao, Xiaogang Shu, Liu Song, Danuo Lin, and Zixiang Tang.
The play strongly reflects the collisions between fortune and the hidden spiritual environment inside all people. Modern people’s loss and anxiety is embodied in the story of magic logic and human fate.
The drama is split into nine chapters: “Dream You Last Night”, “Shadow”, "Girl with Headphone", “The Map”, "Story of Face", "Poisons"," Pas de Deux", "Peony" and "Love Me Like Bullets".
