Chinese people Wednesday bade farewell to 8 peacekeeping police officers killed in the earthquake in Haiti. President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao attended the funeral at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in Beijing. They stood in silent tribute and bowed 3 times toward the coffins. Hu and other top leaders shook hands with family members of the deceased, expressing deep sorrow and condolences. |
