Enact Chinese China-Taiwan Reunification Act
Lau Guan Kim  Updated: 2004-07-20 08:45

For sometime I have been mulling over this Taiwan Relations Act.

In a quid pro quo, China should come out with its China-Taiwan Reunification Act, in similar tone to lay down guidelines what constitute as interference by the US or her allies, the measures China would take and ultimately a message, "Hands off Taiwan!"

I throw this idea to the Chinese people and hope they will give their opinions as to how China can best counter the meddling US in its internal affairs.

In the proposed China-Taiwan Reunification Act, 1.3 billion Chinese must stand up as one voice and with no ambiguity but definite resolve that they brook no separation of Taiwan from China, and that, in the final analysis, will go to war.

Let China-Taiwan Reunification Act be a law of the Chinese people.

And hear ye all who are tempted to sully the honour of the Chinese and their legitimate stand, the time has come they are not to reason why, but to do or die.

The Chinese are to stand resolutely that China-Taiwan Reunification cannot be sine die (without time limit).

Cry not, O Chinese people!
Tears are for the weak and indecisive.
Stop your whimpering,
For to falter is weakness!
China is in danger.
The drums beat
To herald the Clarion Call
Of Chinese national conscience.
Stand up, stand up, stand up!
Ye Chinese must fight this scourge,
Or else the Chinese nation dies.
We are not to reason why,
But to do or die
To save the Motherland
From asunder.
Stand up, stand up, stand up!
China is in danger!
