Nadal claims men's title at ATP China Open

World number two Rafael Nadal overcame asluggishstart to beat the second seed Guillermo Coria in full sets in Beijing on Sunday to win the China Open ATP tennis tournament.

The matches between the 1-2 seeded players went on a way favoring the top-seeded Nadal after he came back from one set down and wrapped up the men's singles final at the 500,000 US dollars hardcourt tournament 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 in two hours.

It's the 19-year-old Spaniard's 10th title of the year and 11th of his career in singles, and the third time in this season that Nadal has won over the 23-year-old Coria, who was ranked eighth in the world currently.

The last match where Nadal lost to the Argentine was at the Monte Carlo clay-court tournament in 2003 when Nadal wasoustedwith a 7-6, 6-2 defeat.

Trailing 6-5 in the first set of Sunday's final after being broken twice, Nadal failed to save aset pointas he backhanded the ball out of the bound after getting the bounce back in his stride in time with unbelievable fast paces.

Finding back his rhythm of playing, the talented teenager, named the next "King of Clay" after claiming his ever-first grad slam title at Roland Garros last June, broke the right-handed Coria twice to make brief of the second set 6-1 and level it on one set to one.

The second-setromping homeset the tune for the following one as Nadal again broke Coria twice to take thedecider6-2.

Nadal earns 69,200 dollars with the final victory at the 2005 China Open, which initiated 12 months ago seeing Russian Czar Marat Safin crowned at the ATP tournament.
