Commanding有“居高临下”的意思，再上文中引申为“压倒性的，遥遥领先的”，commanding victory的意思就是“压倒性胜利”，也可以说成landslide victory，来看一个例句：The Republicans now have a commanding lead in the opinion polls.（共和党在民意调查中遥遥领先。）
