这个词的意思大家不一定知道，但有一个用来表示它的符号却是每个人都熟悉的：″也就是“同上”的意思。比如：

″ blue ″″ 15p
意思是一支十二便士的黑铅笔，一支十五便士的蓝铅笔；
在电影《人鬼情末了》(Ghost)里面，这个词也出现了几次：
男主角：It seems like whenever anything good in my life happens, I'm just afraid that I'm going to lose it.（情形似乎是，凡我生命中有什么美好的事情发生，我都害怕会失去它。）
日常口语中，ditto也是一个很常用的词，比如说：
“I’m really annoyed about this.” “Ditto.”
“我对这事烦透了。”“我也一样。”
