原来 brown nosing 是阿谀奉承的意思，尤其用于下级对上级，相当于俗语中的"拍马屁"、"马屁精"之意。下次如果见到有人对上司拍马屁，就可以说 "He's brown nosing"。当然，这里是朋友间开玩笑的奉承话。
