"I hope I'll be the richest man in the world. That's one of my goals," James said. "I want to be a billionaire."

James, a member of last year's bronze medal US Olympic team, is talking with USA Basketball officials about playing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and next year's World Basketball Championships in Japan.

Frustration over a lack of playing time in Greece under coach Larry Brown made James wary of a five-ring repeat. But he has not ruled out making a three-year commitment to don the red, white and blue once more.

"I've made it known I didn't like the circumstances in the Olympics. I didn't like what happened," James said. "But if I think it is going to be better, I would make a three-year commitment."

Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski will coach the Americans in Japan and Beijing.

"I've only met him once," James said. "I don't know his system; I don't know his style. I would have to spend some time with him."
