Harry Potter sees 300m sales worldwide

Harry Potter conjured up some more magic for author J.K. Rowling as her literary agent said the boy wizard series has sold more than 300 million copies worldwide.

The six books about Potter's adventures with his friends at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry have been translated into 63 languages, most recently into Farsi.
The latest and penultimate tale -- "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" -- pushed sales over the magic 300-million mark after whipping up a storm of Potter mania across the planet when it was released in July, said a spokeswoman for Rowling's literary agent.
The Half-Blood Prince was published in July after a two-year wait.
Rowling's first three Potter books have already been made into blockbuster movies and the fourth film -- "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" -- is due for release next month.
