The French international became the first player to win the award in successive seasons after he scooped a remarkable 87 per cent of the votes cast by the English FWA.
Henry was also voted Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers' Association for the second year in succession in April.
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard came second with Henry's Arsenal and France teammate Patrick Vieira third.
The striker has scored 37 goals this season, including 29 in the premier league, and has created countless others to inspire Arsenal to the title.
