Chinese teenager Hao Junmin has left for London to undergo a two-week trial at English Premiership side Chelsea.

According to AFP, the 17-year-old Hao made a huge impression during the FIFA U-17 World Championship in Finland last year, attracting interest from several foreign clubs including UEFA Champions League semi-finalists Chelsea.

"He arrived at Chelsea on Monday, and that's all I can tell you for now," said Zhang Yifeng, general manager of Hao's Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda.

Hao will be looking to follow in the footsteps of striker Dong Fangzhuo, who signed for Manchester United in January, as well as midfielder Li Tie and defender Sun Jihai, who have both established themselves at Everton and Manchester City.
