Yan opened the scoring on 25th minute when he headed home from a freekick by teammate Sun Xiang.

China could have doubled its lead in the 40th minute but forward Gao Ming's shot from close range went wide of the goal.

Five minutes after the interval, Yan was on target again with a header. The home side then went close to extending the lead on several occasions but missed all the chances.

Second-half substitute Cao Yang made it 3-0 in the 86th minute when he fired home a sizzling shot after dribbling past several Jamaican defenders.

Chinese head coach Shen Xiangfu expressed guarded satisfaction with the victory.

"Today's match is a good exercise for our team," he said. "The Jamaican players are agile and skillful, though they lost the match," he added.
