650m yuan earmarked for Heavenly Lake facelift

The Sangong River Valley of Fukang City, 22 kilometers long from south to north, is an important passage to the scenic spots in the Heavenly Lake. From this year, Fukang City plans to invest 650 mln RMB in improving the eco-environment of the Sangong River Valley in three years. According to the plan, in the harness work, the government has to remove 884 households of farmers and herdsmen as well as residents and get them settled down. Apart from the state subsidy, Fukang City will also subsidize 20,000 RMB for each household and carry out unified settlement for them. At present, the first batch of households, numbering 300, has settled down.
Meanwhile, the projects on highway, water conservancy and eco-greening are under intensive construction, and expected to be finished by late Oct.
