A new statistical group known as the kangaroo has emerged in China, the Beijing News reports.

He Lulu, 24, a university graduate from Northwest Normal University, still stays at home with her parents and depends on her parents' salaries.

She is a typical city kangaroo. Her father constantly buys her cookies and sweets.

"My daughter is still too young to be independent as she has a lot more to learn. When she becomes more mature, she will surely support herself, but we are not short of money now," he said.

Experts warn parents to allow their children to become independent and move out on their own.
