China Tangshan Ceramics Fair

Tangshan, known as the cradle of Chinese modern industry, has a long history of ceramics production and is honored as the North Capital of Porcelain Production in China.

Since 1998, the Tangshan government has hosted five China Ceramics Fair, sponsored by CCPIT and Hebei People's Government.The number of exhibition booths increased from 350 in the first fair in 1998 to 975 in the fifth in 2002.

Contract value increased from 487 million yuan in the first fair to 877 million yuan in the fifth. The scale of the fairs has enlarged.

The fifth fair held in 2002 attracted 278 producers from 18 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and from German, South Korea, Italy, Taiwan and Macao. More than 1,000 kinds of exhibits ranging daily use, building, toilet, arts and special porcelains, as well as porcelain machine were displayed.
