Though it is the season for hibernation, a strange-looking frog visited a family on the sixth floor of a building in Xisanqi of Beijing on Saturday through the sewage system, Beijing Times reports.

Wang found the frog in the sink of his house - it looked brown with four toes on its fore feet and five on its metapedes. More surprisingly, its bones felt soft, said Wang.

Experts say it is rare for frogs to awaken from their long winter slumber ahead of schedule.
