He was what one would say had everything: A doctorate degree in electronics and a beautiful wife. But he had a suspicious mind and fearful that his spouse might stray, he literally kept track of her every move. But, in the end, his marriage ended when he was discovered, New Culture News reports.

Putting his knowledge of electronics to use, Zhang Jianming, 35, a native of Heilongjiang Province, made some bugs on his own and planted them in the heels of his wife's shoes after he married Li Meili four years ago.

But in August, Li found the device in a broken heel when she went to have a pair of shoes repaired. To her anger and dismay, a quick check revealed every pair of her shoes was bugged. Angered by the violation of her privacy, Li divorced Zhang recently.
