Ka Qiu Sha Russian Music Restaurant () is intended to be a nostalgic place for the Chinese generation who spent their youth influenced by Russian culture.

The focus at the restaurant is its 8 musicians and singers from Ukraine's Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory, who play classic scores and sing popular Russian songs every night from 7 pm.

The restaurant's menu, in Chinese and English, offers Russian food, as well as popular French and Italian dishes. Potato salad, grilled beef and roast sea weever come in big helpings.

Apart from this there is also Gvas, a bread-brewed carbonated drink, and a long list of Russian beverages to set you on your way down memory lane.

The restaurant has been open for just over a month and has yet to build up an established clientele, so it's a good time to enjoy the peace and space there.

With music not so loud as to be intrusive, Ka Qiu Sha is a good place to go with a group of friends for a good drink and an abundant dinner.

Average spending is from 50-100 yuan (US$6-12) per person.

5/F, 15 Wanliu Zhonglu, Haidian District. 8256-8881. 15
